A beautiful first day of the new decade.

Thinking backward over the past ten years and looking forward to the next ten.

Thinking about friendships which have endured throughout the decade, friendships which have been started during this time and friends and family who are no longer with us.

Thinking about family and ten years of growth from elementary school to high school, college and universities.

Thinking about living one place and now living in another.

Thinking about jobs and careers which seemed so important at the time and now retirement and the joys of non-jobs and non-careers.

And thinking ahead, with anticipation. Not so much planning, for I have come to realize how futile and frustrating a lot of planning can be, but just being available and making good decisions, one day at a time.

And that's what I think about it.

(Go Bucks!)
