Major drama at the little restaurant we frequent for breakfast (see previous posts). One long-term server has been suspended.

She called in injured and said she had a doctor's appointment. She never called back to give an update on her condition and didn't answer her cell phone for the two days the owner attempted to reach her. A few days later she called to see what her schedule was and was told to stay home because she was now on suspension.

She's calling the other servers giving her side of the story which is mainly that she needs the job, her husband only stays with her because she has money, she needs funds to buy the kids Christmas gifts, her mother is sick...and on and on.

One human interest story in a country of millions of stories. And that's what I think about it.
