Eighty degrees today; first time this year.

The porch is cleaned off and cushions put out on the furniture, rugs on the floor.

I sat out there for more than an hour, gusty winds swirling whirl-a-gigs settling the swept floor. The birds, not used to humans so close to their feeder...because they have short memories of last Spring...set up a terrible ruckus. I was firm though. This is my porch and they can deal with it. Even when they flew right through in front of me as if to scare me off (think Alfred Hitchcock).

Tinkling wind chimes joined the noise. Dogs barking next door added to the lack of silence. My own cat, indoors because that is one of the Humane Society rules, pawed at the window, getting his head caught in the window blinds.

A delightful hour.
And that's what I think about it.
