Chickens
A woman outside of Boston has put two web cams in and near her hen house.
Why?
She also has written children's books about her hens which also include Candy, a lop-eared rabbit who lives within the hen community.
Why?
Well, to sell books for one reason.
On the web site she has bios of each of the hens and rabbit; she includes tips on how to raise hens; she answers questions; on the hen blog she describes the eggs each of her brood lays...and when; she tells about life at Little Pond Farm.
Why?
But that's not really the right question, is it? The better question is why I check in on the little community a couple of times a week? Why do I search the site for Candy? Why do I log on after I hear a weather report about a blizzard in Massachusetts to make sure this little brood is safely inside?
I do not know.
And that's what I'm thinking about.
